MTSMA 2025 Proposal Submission Portal

 

We recognize the deep value of presenting at regional conferences, to include receiving feedback on our own research, meeting new colleagues, establishing career-long relationships, and engaging with stimulating presentations. We also acknowledge that many regional societies offer competitive awards for student presenters that can boost one’s career, some of which carry attractive incentives for publication and cash prizes.

 

That said, we encourage scholars to consider carefully when responding to regional paper calls, and to submit only to the conferences that one seriously intends to attend if accepted. Please consider that withdrawing an accepted paper from a conference is onerous on the program committee (although we certainly understand emergencies do occur). Further, we recommend that scholars submit the same paper to no more than two or three regional conferences per year, so as to broaden presentation opportunities for all. Scholars seeking wider audiences for their work are encouraged to submit to SMT.

 

We also note that no member of the program committee is permitted to submit an abstract.
