The Music Theory Society of the Mid-Atlantic Twentieth Annual Meeting

The Music Theory Society of the Mid-Atlantic (MTSMA) is holding its annual conference in a virtual format. Presentations videos will be available for viewing from July 15th to August 15th.
On Friday and Saturday, July 29 and 30, 2022, the MTSMA will host a series of live webinars for the paper sessions that will feature a 5-minute summary by each presenter, followed by a general Q&A.
Keynote Speaker
Dr. Robert Hasegawa (McGill University) will give the keynote address, titled “Demystifying Contemporary Music,” at 4:00 pm on Friday, July 29.
Professional Development Workshop
Dr. Jennifer Snodgrass (Lipscomb University) will conduct a professional development workshop for graduate students and faculty titled “Finding Your Purpose (and Place) in the Academic World of Music Theory” at 1:45 pm on Saturday, July 30.
All conference attendees are encouraged to attend, and no application is necessary for workshop participation.
Registration
There is a registration fee of $25 for full-time faculty members, $15 for part-time faculty and independent scholars, and $5 for students.
Upon registering, you wiill be provided with a password to access the conference materials. Links to the live sessions will also be posted at this site.
